Lessons for students at this age will be divided between piano and voice instruction so that these students have a head start in the foundational knowledge that will make them stronger musicians. Lessons for these young musicians will include lots of variety and different activities to keep them engaged and foster a lifelong love of music.

At Authentic Voice we believe that if a student wants to sing, we want to help them! Young singers are at the perfect age to begin learning healthy vocal technique and musicianship skills. In addition to singing, students will learn basic piano skills and how to read music so that they are ready for the next step in their vocal journey!

As performance opportunities become more competitive students at this age benefit greatly from longer and more frequent training. The structure of lessons for students in this age group varies widely depending on their goals. Lessons may include musicianship, performance preparation, role study, building a repertoire, singing while playing an instrument, mindset, alignment, anatomy, voice science, and more. Piano will also be incorporated into lessons to give students the ability to warm themselves up, read music, and provide basic accompaniment for their singing.
